Review : Smooth ESC for 450 sized helicopters
I've been using this ESC on 2 Align 450 helis and it's very consisten, smooth and reliable. It's been great sticking with the name brand components because that allows others with more experience to help me when things are questionable. Having friends around who are very familiar with Align parts helped me determine when one of my settings was off due to the different beeps during the startup sequence!. It's easy to change your settings too, using the info as found in the manual.
I particularly like the soft start on the ESC. With a Heli it becomes very important to have a very soft start. Without the soft start, the occasional live work on the bench becomes dangerous as things would start spinning rather rapidly and really get one into trouble! The startup beeps are handy for double checking setup info, but can be ignored when at the field and prepping to fly, they are not annoying.
